On Saturday 11th November, hundreds of Santa’s joined together for the annual ‘Jingle All Way 2’ event to raise money for a very deserving cause.
Over 200 volunteers helped raise over £12000 for Derian House Children’s Hospice which offers respite and palliative care to children, young people and their families and is dear to a lot of peoples heart’s at Concept Management.
Now an annual event involving walking from Chorley town centre to Rivington Pike and back, some 17 miles and for the guys who aren’t familiar with the locale, it’s eight miles uphill through the West Pennine Moors but the walk was aided by local hostelries providing mince pies and mulled wine towards the finish line however, the event continued into the night with a Pantomime , DJ and lots more mulled wine !!
The event was originally inspired by the organiser Neil Hailwood in memory of his friends son who sadly died at a very early age and the event has grown substantially and this year the walk was started by the comedy legend Tommy Cannon and nobody shouted ‘Rock on Tommy’ – honest plus the new British Super lightweight boxing champ Jack Catterall.
Concept Management were delighted to support the event and contribute along with Adam and his family taking part in the walk.
Events like this are vital to Derian House as it relies on fund raising for over 90% of its annual income and to find out more about their great work, please click on the following link: www.derianhouse.co.uk
