An update for today’s Rubber Industry’s Annual Dinner held at the Novotel Worsley.
We had a plethora of members and guests attend the event, to hear legendary snooker player Dennis Taylor offer up a fantastic speech. His anecdotes, jokes and witticisms were well received and he proved a most entertaining guest speaker. This year’s charities were The Christie and Prostate Cancer UK, both being very close to our members hearts in recent times, and by means of Gift Aid donation envelopes on the table, through the raffle, to the final auction of the evening and along with some donations from ‘missing’ members, we raised a fantastic £3875.00.
