Ex-England legend and Westhoughton born resident Franny Lee teed off for the 29th annual golf fundraiser in aid of Bolton Lads & Girls Club.
With more than 100 people from local businesses taking to the green, the event proved to be a huge success with over £24,000.00 being raised.
The sun made an appearance helping guests enjoy the day as they descended on to the beautiful course at Bolton Golf Club.
With the event being sold out months in advance, businesses and individuals were keen to snap up one of the golden spots on offer to sponsor one of 18 holes set at £100 each.
Guests were not only treated to a round of competitive golf but also had the opportunity to indulge in fine food and participate in a luxury auction with exclusive prizes, to raise as much as possible for the Club. There was also an award presentation with Concept Management coming out on top as the overall winners from the event.
Kelly McFadden, Fundraising Manager at Bolton Lads & Girls Club, said: “It has been a fantastic day! We are so grateful to all the companies that have supported us in one way or another with this event, whether that be by entering a team, sponsoring a hole or providing services or prizes for the evening. Everyone has been absolutely amazing in helping the day be a great success.”
“I’d like to thank Francis Lee, Guy Topping and Bolton Golf Club also for a wonderful event.”
The final total is expected to be over £25,000.00 which will help the Club continue with its support for its Award-Winning Mentoring Programme.
