The MRW National Recycling Awards 2018 brought together over 550 recycling and waste management professionals on Thursday 28 June at the London Hilton on Park Lane to recognise and celebrate best practice and innovation in recycling and waste management.
Mark Wilding and Rob Marsland attended the National Recycling Awards 2018 to present to the panel as part of our nomination for a recycling award. About the award, this category recognised true partnerships and innovative working that goes above and beyond standard contractual arrangements and good practice to manage waste and resources innovatively, sustainably and effectively. Creative ideas, incorporation of the waste hierarchy, waste minimisation, designing out waste, closed-loop processes, reuse, high recycling rates etc will be recognised. Sadly, ultimately, we did not win the award but Mark did win the ‘ball throwing competition’ and won a bottle of bubbly, which was presented on the night by comedian, Joel Dommett.
The dinner was attended by our partner, Paul Marriott of Somerset Council and a great night ensued with lots of fine wine, excellent food and fantastic company of friends, colleagues and clients.
