Alexander Clayton recently became the latest student to progress through the Bolton Wanderers Institute of Sport scheme and has successfully gained employment with local business Concept Management.

After excelling in the BTEC Level 1 and 2 Sport courses based at the Reebok Stadium over the past year, Alexander, aged 17, is now set to begin a new venture in full-time employment in May 2013.

“We’ve taken Alexander on as part of the Bolton Wanderers and Concept Management partnership,” Mark Wilding, Director at Concept Management explained.

“Alexander has been managed and taught by the Bolton Wanderers Institute of Sport and has impressed. He’ll now join us on our apprentice scheme.”

Joel Kerr said: “We started this partnership because Concept Management were interesting in giving young people a chance.

“Alexander was the stand out student from our classes. His attitude and determination has been outstanding.

“We’re now hoping that many more students can follow in Alexander’s footsteps.”

Concept Management have since agreed to take on up to six further students on a part-time basis, ensuring that each individual is able to work whilst staying in education.
