Concept Management have agreed to help a local charity called Fix IT. Fix IT is part of BAND, a Bolton based community mental health project.
Fix IT is a computer repair and refurbishing teaching project which is run by dedicated and skilled volunteers. It provides placements for service users who want to learn new skills, in a supportive, friendly and safe environment where they can build their confidence and self-esteem.
BAND has over 30 years’ experience of supporting people with lived experience of a mental health condition. They work to improve the quality of lives using Recovery Focused Approaches. Co-production is at the heart of what they do, they build close relationships with the people who come to BAND. As a result, they develop services that are safe, responsive and appropriate to the people who use them. Again, BAND’s high quality services are delivered by a dedicated team of paid staff and volunteers.

Concept Management learned of Fix IT’s issues around obtaining laptop and PC stock for the cohorts to work on. As a business, we generate lots of scrap material and have agreed to let Fix It have a much stock as they need and will keep them going indefinitely.
